Final report
Our recommendations for new electoral arrangements were published on 30 July 2024.
8 August 2024 - we have replaced the previous version of the map and report. This corrects a spelling error whereby 'Etherow' division was incorrectly spelt 'Ethrow'
As a result of our final recommendations, we are making changes to the electoral arrangements for the following parish/town councils:
Consultation on proposals
We have proposed a new pattern of divisions. We want to hear the views of local people and organisations to help us produce our recommendations for change.
Initial consultation
We ask local people and organisations to tell us about their communities.
*We have updated the spreadsheet to remove the descriptions in column C which were erroneous. We done this for this for clarity. Please note that the polling district data and electorate figures have not changed and that these are consistent with the ward boundaries prior to the 2023 elections in Amber Valley, Chesterfield and Derbyshire Dales. This is due to the timing of when the forecasts were produced. Column E (the parish warding column) relies on information from the Council and is incomplete. This will not affect our recommendations for Derbyshire, since we create new parish wards if we divide a parish with a new division boundary.
Councillor numbers
Decision on the number of councillors
We have decided that Derbyshire County Council should have 64 councillors.
